LOx Breaker
The LOx Breaker is an innovative rock-breaking technique that utilizes liquid oxygen to fracture rocks efficiently and effectively. The process involves injecting liquid oxygen into a specially designed pipe. Upon initiation, the liquid oxygen rapidly transforms into its gaseous state, expanding up to 800 times its original volume. This sudden and immense expansion generates the force necessary to break the surrounding rock, offering a precise and powerful solution for rock-breaking needs.
What is the benefit of using LOx Breaker
1. Non Explosive Solution
As Liquid Oxygen is not classified as an explosive, its application does not require explosive license, simplifying regulatory compliance.
2. Significantly Reduced Vibration
LOx Breaker generates up to 80% less vibration compared to traditional explosives. Its breaking mechanism relies on the rapid expansion of Liquid Oxygen as it transforms into gas, avoiding the shock energy associated with conventional explosives.
3. Cost-Effective Solution
LOx Breaker offers a highly economical alternative, being up to 50% cheaper per cubic meter compared to Rock Breakers.
4. Easily Scalable
Scaling up production with LOx Breaker is seamless and does not require upfront capital investment, unlike Rock Breakers, which demand additional equipment such as excavators.

LOx Breaker is an ideal choice under the following conditions:
1. Obtaining an explosive license is not feasible.
2. Rock Breakers or Rippers are currently your primary methods for rock breaking.
3. You face significant challenges with vibration-related issues.
4. The project site is located near residential areas or villages

Fragmentation Results
Based on the trial that was conducted on a andesite quarries mine. The P80 size are 340mm.

Vibration Monitoring is set up 20m from the shot. 5 Holes are initiated using Lox Breaker. The results for Peak Vector Sum (PPV) are 17.78 mm/s. For a comparable ANFO shot, LOx produce almost a 80% less vibration compared to ANFO.
